The Good, The Bad and The Funny of Edinburgh
Join me for a fun filled two-hour tour of Edinburgh.
This tour will contain adult content and is not suitable for children. If you do have children, please let me know their ages beforehand so that I can tailor the tour to suit.
We will hear tales about a half-hanged lady, so called homeless dogs, body snatchers, poltergeists, Harry Potter, kings and queens, witches, battles, invasions, executions and much more.
We will also take in Edinburgh Castle. I do a separate tour that includes going into the castle, but on this tour, we just look at the castle from The Esplanade.
We will then meander down the historic so-called Royal Mile, hearing some unsanitary tales of human waste disposal, extinct volcanoes and how the rich and the poor had to live together in a tiny city only 0.2 square miles, from 1513 to 1776. We will visit the royal church of Edinburgh and the tour will finish outside the Palace of Holyrood and the Scottish Parliament.
Please bear in mind that Edinburgh is built on seven hills, just like Sheffield and Rome of course, so please contact me prior to the tour, stating any mobility issues you or a member of your group may have.
Always be prepared for changeable weather, as Edinburgh can be a very cold and windy city.
