A bit about Paul James Stewart
I am Paul James Stewart, and for the last seven years I have been working as a Tour Guide, Tour Leader and Virtual Tour Guide. During that period I worked for five years with a Social Enterprise called Invisible Cities which trains people affected by homelessness to become walking tour guides. In 2024 I started Paul James Stewart Tours, here in the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh.
I am a Jacobite (a supporter of King James Stewart and Bonnie Prince Charlie - Jacob is latin for James) and a supporter of Mary, Queen of Scots, so what better way to tour Scotland than with a Jacobite?
I offer several different walking tours in Leith and the Old Town and New Town areas of Edinburgh. I also offer coach tours of Scotland and Edinburgh and I can be hired as a panoramic coach guide in Edinburgh including tours of Edinburgh Castle.
Being a Tour Guide comes with great responsibility, and it is my job to find out the truth behind the myths and legends of Edinburgh and Scotland, and I like to tell you the good and the bad, and indeed sometimes the ugly on my tours. I try to make my tours light-hearted and keep them as positive as possible, while still telling of some of the realities of life in Edinburgh. (Read some of the reviews from my time as a guide with Invisible Cities.)
I am a fully trained and award winning, qualified Tour Guide. and I offer several walking tours of Edinburgh and Leith, including bespoke tours tailored to your exact needs, so please check out my tour page for further information, and contact me if you have any specific requirements, and I will work with you to come up with a suitable tour designed especially for you.
